Care Plans
Proactive care for sites that cannot afford to go down.
WordPress requires active maintenance to remain secure and performant. These plans are not a hosting upsell — they are a structured maintenance relationship where I actively manage your site so you do not have to.
Every plan includes staged updates tested before live deployment, off-site backups, and security monitoring. I do not apply updates blindly. I test them.

Choosing a plan
Which plan is right for you?
Essentials — £49/month
For straightforward WordPress sites where your primary requirement is regular backups, security monitoring, and managed updates. If your site goes down overnight, you notice in the morning and it can wait until business hours.
Professional — £69/month
For business sites where downtime or a performance problem has a direct commercial impact. Uptime and performance monitoring means problems are caught immediately, not when a client calls to tell you. Includes one hour of developer time per month for minor adjustments and fixes.
Premier — £99/month
For WooCommerce stores and complex sites where any downtime is lost revenue. Hourly off-site backups, dedicated ecommerce support, and two hours of developer time per month. If your site takes payments, Premier is the appropriate tier.
What You Get
No guesswork. No filler.
Off-site backups
Backups stored off-server in a geographically separate location and tested to confirm they are actually restorable. Essentials runs weekly, Professional runs daily, Premier runs hourly. You will never hear "the backup was on the server that failed."
Staged updates
Core, theme, and plugin updates are applied to a staging copy of your site first, verified against core functionality, then pushed live. An update that breaks staging does not touch your live site.
Security monitoring and malware protection
Continuous 24/7 monitoring for malware, intrusion attempts, and file integrity changes. The goal is to catch problems when they are minor, not when they have become incidents that take your site offline.
Performance and uptime monitoring
Included in Professional and Premier plans. Continuous uptime checks with immediate alerts on downtime, and performance monitoring so degradation is caught before it affects your users or your rankings.
Developer time
Professional plans include one hour of developer time per month for minor technical tasks — fixes, adjustments, small improvements. Premier includes two hours. Unused hours do not roll over.
Ecommerce support
Premier plan includes dedicated WooCommerce support: checkout health monitoring, order processing oversight, and priority response for any issue that affects your ability to trade.
Questions
What people usually ask.
Can I cancel at any time?
Monthly plans require 30 days' written notice to cancel. Annual plans run to their renewal date. There are no lock-in penalties beyond the billing period you are in.
What does "staged updates" mean in practice?
Before any update touches your live site, I apply it to a staging copy. I verify core functionality — forms, checkout if applicable, key pages. If anything breaks, I investigate and resolve it before the update goes live. If a plugin update is fundamentally broken, it does not get applied until the plugin is fixed.
Does the plan cover development work?
Essentials does not include development time. Professional includes one hour per month and Premier includes two hours. These cover minor tasks and adjustments. Larger development work is scoped and priced separately.
Can I start a care plan after a one-off project?
Yes, and this is the most common path. Many clients engage me for a specific project — performance audit, security hardening, crash recovery — then move onto a care plan once the site is in good shape.
What if my site needs significant work before it is ready for maintenance?
If onboarding reveals significant underlying problems, I will scope a remediation project first. I do not take on maintenance for sites that are not in a maintainable state — that is not in your interest or mine.
Is there a saving on annual plans?
Yes. Annual billing works out to approximately 15 percent less than paying monthly: Essentials at £499/year (£41.58/month), Professional at £699/year (£58.25/month), and Premier at £999/year (£83.25/month).
